Have you noticed how we are constantly hungry for more? More food, more TV channels, more gigabytes, more options, knowledge, power... It seems that the whole world is in a constant race for more.
The hunger for God, to meet Him and experience the revelation of His Word, is the cry of the heart for a close relationship with Him. Disciples expressed their hunger with the question above. They did not ask to learn to preach, heal, teach... Lord, teach us to pray - because in prayer is hidden that secret of remaining in close communion with You.
Are we spiritually hungry for God and His Word? Does your heart, like mine, along with the disciples say...teach me to pray?
The good news is that the heart of God responds positively to our requests. God is waiting for our hearts to become hungry for Him, thirsty for Him and to be active in seeking Him. God is ALWAYS ready to answer and speak to our hearts to satisfy our "hunger" for Him.
