Evangelical church Zenica was created as a result of the spiritual awakening of people in this city, at the end of the nineties in the last century. The word "church" creates a certain perception among people while thinking of a type of building with specific symbolism. The birth of this church has changed many people's views of this way of thinking. We like to say: "The church is not a building, the church is people who believe in Jesus Christ no matter where they gather".

Our teaching is based on the Bible, which we believe is the infallible Word of God, which directs sinful man to reconciliation with God, through repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Savior (the only one who can save from hell), Lord (one who should be respected) and the Master (the one who should be obeyed). We believe that Jesus was the perfect sacrifice offered for the sins of the whole world and thus of every human being, regardless of race or nation. Therefore, in our community, we have people from different ethnic groups specific to the social milieu of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosniaks, Serbs, Croats, and others).

An important segment of our relationship with God is the prayer, which in its structure does not contain repetition or memorization, but is a simple everyday conversation with God, spoken "in our own words" and serving the world (the people around us who are not part of the community), based on God's command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Bible - Leviticus 19:18)

Therefore, this church, although small, made a great contribution to the city and beyond in various activities: many and varied humanitarian actions, work with children and youth, various types of educational and development programs, work with the elderly, etc. Also, we believe that we have a call from God to talk about our faith, the Gospel as good news for all people, and a personal encounter with Jesus, referring to the biblical verse: "Go into your world and preach the Good News to every creature!" (Bible - Gospel according to Mark 16:15)
