History
The ministry of summer camps within the Evangelical Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of its longest-lasting ministries. Even during the war, spiritual workers from those territories that were not so burdened by the war would take the children out of their towns and cities to the summer camps. In this way, children would have the opportunity to find a place where they will experience a few days of a carefree childhood that every child deserves.
From 1993 until 2000, summer camps were held on the Adriatic in neighboring Croatia. Since 2002, due to the need to reduce the cost of the organization of camps, the ministry has moved to our country to the location of Boračko Lake near the town of Konjic. A few years later, with the help of various ministry partners, the ECBiH purchased land with several war-ravaged buildings and began building a central location for the summer camp ministry.
