The morning plenary session on March 5, 2025, in Chișinău (Republic of Moldova) marked the beginning of the annual Conference of the Pentecostal European Fellowship (PEF) with a blessed time of worship, led by the local Elim Church, and the keynote message from Chairman Marek Kaminski on the conference theme, “The Church of Tomorrow.”
In the afternoon, the PEF General Assembly took place, presenting reports and plans, as well as electing the new Presidium for the 2025-2028 term. Marek Kaminski was re-elected as Chairman, Friedhelm Holthuis as Vice-Chairman, Dirk Glaser as Treasurer, while Ishan Özbek assumed the role of Secretary, along with 12 regional representatives.
During the General Assembly, Chairman Kaminski presented Certificates of Appreciation to Bishop Victor Pavlovski (Moldova) and Pastor Moise Ardelean (Romania) for their years of service as members of the Presidium.
The morning program featured four thematic tracks with PEF’s branches: PEM (missions), PYE (youth), EPTA (theology/academic institutions), and a specialized workshop, providing opportunities for information exchange, interaction, spiritual enrichment, fellowship, and networking.
During the General Assembly, three Pentecostal movements were inducted as new members of PEF: Church of God Poland, Church of God Bulgaria, and “Consulta Evangelica” Italy.
Following a dynamic time of worship and the presentation of the Pentecostal World Conference, which will take place in Helsinki (June 4-6), the second plenary session was highlighted by an impactful message from Pastor Øystein Gjerme on the topic “The Challenge of Keeping the Church Awake,” followed by a time of prayer for one another.
The plenary sessions on the second day of the PEF gathering were an added blessing, as we experienced a powerful time of worship, followed by an inspiring message from Bishop Victor Pavlovski, who retraced the historical journey of the Pentecostal movement in Moldova, from its challenging beginnings to a glorious revival that resulted in a strong and dynamic movement today, along with the lessons learned. The second session was led by Pastor Jim Memory (Lausanne Europe) on the topic “Europe Today and Tomorrow” (trends, biblical reflections, and perspectives), followed by an interactive panel discussion on the main theme of the conference, moderated by Bishop Leonid Biruk and featuring Pastor Saša Nikolinović, a representative of the Evangelical Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The afternoon session was dedicated to prayer for Europe, led by Chairman Kaminski, as prayers were lifted for each region, PEF branches, ministries, and the Presidium, followed by the Lord’s Supper as an expression of our unity in Christ. It was truly a Pentecostal prayer in one accord, a deeply spiritual and unforgettable highlight of the entire conference!
The closing plenary session was an opportunity to express gratitude to the local team for their outstanding work in preparing and hosting the conference, including the worship team and many volunteers. Pastor Yann Antoine (France) brought an encouraging message about the hopes we have for the Church of Tomorrow, based on the promise of Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Church! Because of Him, our future is bright!
